We are very pleased to announce that GLITSS successfully held a workshop on 30 – 31 March to advance Volume 2 of the GLITSS Trilogy, titled Understanding the Causes of Illicit Trade. The workshop was hosted by the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences in Tallinn.

Over the two days, authors from diverse disciplinary backgrounds sought to clarify the types and nature of the causes of illicit trade, while developing a shared understanding. The goal is to produce a coherent and comprehensive book that provides students, researchers, academics, practitioners, and policymakers with a clear understanding of the factors driving illicit trade and the mechanisms through which they operate.

GLITSS thanks all workshop participants for their contributions, which marked a significant step forward in the book-writing journey and demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting its completion in the upcoming stages.
