SUMMARY:Social Re-Use Of Confiscated Assets As A Legal Response Against Illicit Trade: Issues And Perspectives For European Criminal Justice
DESCRIPTION:The preventive and restorative goals of social re-use need to be analysed both ‘in the books’ and ‘in action’\, in order to discover how transnational confiscation procedures in the EU can be streamlined as a fit socio-legal response against illicit trades. The overarching question to address is if\, how\, and to what extent social re-use of confiscated assets can be improved as a ‘doubly constructive’ means\, helping both to prevent illicit trade practices and to boost economic and social development in target communities \n  \n
