DESCRIPTION:Excited to share an upcoming Roundtable\, organised as part of GLITSS educational and capacity-building efforts.\n\nThis online roundtable\, organized within the GLITSS educational deliverables\, explores how illicit trade is taught in academic settings across disciplines. Bringing together leading scholars in criminology\, political science\, and related fields\, the discussion will examine different pedagogical approaches to addressing the complexity and breadth of illicit trade. The session will begin with a brief introduction to the GLITSS education initiative and the objectives of the roundtable\, followed by short presentations from participants outlining their teaching experiences. The discussion will then focus on five key themes: conceptualizing illicit trade in the classroom\, effective teaching formats (full courses\, modules\, or lectures)\, the role of multidisciplinarity\, the use of teaching materials (including case studies\, datasets\, and simulations)\, and methods of student assessment. By comparing practices across institutions and disciplines\, the roundtable aims to identify challenges\, highlight innovative teaching strategies\, and provide practical insights for educators.
